COVID-19 Screening Protocol and Updated Policies at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Erie

Your safety is our top priority. Shriners Hospitals for Children — Erie has taken action to help protect our patients, families, staff and community from the spread of COVID-19.

Safety measures include:

  • All staff, patients, family members and visitors are screened for illness upon arrival. If you answer “yes” to any of the screening questions, display a temperature over 100°F or appear ill, you may be required to reschedule your appointment.
  • All staff, patients, family members and visitors are required to wear a mask.
  • Only one parent/guardian is permitted to accompany a child to their appointment. No additional family members or siblings are permitted at this time.

To further minimize points of potential exposure, non-essential traffic into the building will not be permitted. This includes volunteers, students, on-site events and activities, meeting space and dining room usage by patients and visitors, and tours.

If you have an upcoming appointment and have been experiencing any symptoms of illness or have had a recent exposure to the virus, please call 814-875-8700. Thank you for your continued cooperation as we work together to keep everyone safe.
