Spirit of Children Helps Create a Safe Halloween for Patients

This Halloween season, Shriners for Children Medical Center — Pasadena and the heart of Spirit Halloween – Spirit of Children – are making a difference in the lives of children by providing one-of-a-kind care packages to celebrate the spooky season. Each care package includes a costume, activity book, crayons and treat bags. Child life specialist Natalie Chicas will be distributing the packages, safely and individually, to patients the week leading into Halloween.

“Our patients and their families look forward to Halloween every year,” said Natalie. “In addition to the costumes for our patients, Spirit Halloween raises funds for our medical center. We are so grateful for their generosity.”

Spirit Halloween offers 10% off an entire purchase (online and in-store). They match that 10% savings with a donation to Shriners for Children Medical Center — Pasadena. One hundred percent of money collected for Spirit of Children will benefit the child life department, which helps make the experience less scary and more comfortable for young patients and their families by providing non-medical treatment and healing through play.
