A Generous Donation from the Texas Self Storage Association
The Texas Self Storage Association (TSSA) recently donated more than $250,000 to Shriners Children’s Texas, thanks to the efforts of a full year of fundraising. A TSSA group of 13 members, including Executive Director Ginny Sutton, visited the hospital to tour the new facility and present the funds at the hospital’s board meeting. The check totaled $260,150, the culmination of TSSA’s 2022 fundraising efforts.
TSSA has been donating to Shriners Children’s Texas for over 20 years and has raised almost $2M during that time. In addition to presenting hospital board members with the check from their fundraising efforts, TSSA members gifted the hospital with a custom stained glass art piece, which was created by a TSSA member and donated back to the hospital.
“They are an incredible supporter of the hospital, and we are so fortunate to have them as a partner in our mission. Thank you to TSSA for your continued generosity,” said Shriners Children’s Texas Donor Development Director Katherine Hughes. The TSSA group also toured the hospital, viewing the facility’s recent renovations and learning about what Shriners Children’s Texas does for children in need.
