Shriners Children’s Returns to Puerto Rico to Host an Outreach Clinic

For over 50 years, Shriners Children's Philadelphia staff members have traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to provide outpatient orthopedic care to local children.

In a collaboration between Shriners Children's Philadelphia and the Doctors’ Center Hospital | Orlando Health healthcare system, the outpatient clinic uses the facilities to provide care for patients and families regardless of ability to pay or insurance status.

This year marks the first time since the global pandemic that Shriners Children’s staff are able to return to Puerto Rico. We are eager and excited to be back on the island serving new and existing patients. This is our first time in this new space, and we appreciate your patience while adjusting to the facility. Masks are required in the facility.

The clinic will be held on Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21, 2023 at:

Appointments will be scheduled until May 5. After that, you will be a walk-in, which will be limited to first come, first served. There are no walk-ins after 2 p.m. on Saturday and none after 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Space is limited: Only two parents, guardians or caregivers may accompany the patient for the appointment.

Shriners Children’s is a leader in providing care for orthopedic conditions, spinal cord injuries and other spine conditions, rehabilitation and sports injuries. We also offer specialized services, including orthotics and prosthetics. All care and services are provided regardless of the families ability to pay or insurance status for children up to age 18.
