Andrea Johnson

Andrea M. Johnson, DO

Specialties
  • Pediatric Anesthesia

Andrea Johnson, D.O.'s passion for medicine began in 3rd grade when she accidently discovered a human anatomy book. She was fascinated by the complexity of the human body and began asking her parents questions about how things worked in her own body. Eventually her questions became more complex, and her thirst for more answers continued to grow.

This fascination with anatomy and respect for the different forms of the human body naturally propelled her to Shriners Children's Portland. She enjoys working for an institution that truly embraces and welcomes the differences in all of our patients' abilities.

Dr. Johnson's goal is to provide individualized and patient-centered care to every child and family. She believes that the right action (no matter how small) can make a big and impactful difference in a patient's experience. She especially takes pride in caring for children who have autism spectrum disorders and enjoys working with caregivers to improve their child's hospital experience.

When she's not working in the hospital, she enjoys going on adventures with her family. She loves bike riding, hiking, eating ice cream and playing Catan.
