Jacques Nadeau, M.D., grew up with an education focused on caring for others, along with motivating role models in healthcare. Inspired by them, he obtained his medical degree, followed by post-graduate studies in general surgery, clinical research and orthopedic surgery with exposure to Shriners Children's Canada.

His commitment to emergency medicine in a large, community hospital as a department head, as well as experience in medical administration at various hospital and health care systems, provided him with the exceptional opportunity to renew with Shriners Children's. His plans were to provide post operative care for children and then, he became director of professional services. Later in his career, he gained experience as a hospitalist in a university affiliated rehabilitation medicine institute as well as an administrator in a health care governmental regional division.

The Shriners Children's focus on excellence in individualised, compassionate and comprehensive care for children has been the cornerstone of Dr. Nadeau's personal ongoing commitment to the organization.

His vision for Shriners Children's Canada is to be a national center of excellence for orthopedic care of pediatric musculoskeletal and related conditions in clinical, teaching and research fields.

He is committed to a consensual, multidisciplinary approach based on competence, innovation and focus on the children he serves.
