Monica Locklin Newcity, MA, CCC-SLP, has been a consulting speech-language pathologist at Shriners Children’s New England since 2014. She obtained her associate degree in theater from Holyoke Community College, her bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Elms College, and her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from UMass Amherst. Monica also holds a post-graduate certificate in behavioral intervention in autism from UMass Lowell. She is an active member of the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association, the American Speech and Hearing Association, and is a Smile Train mentor; associations that support the advancement of speech and language services and craniofacial care, both nationally and globally.
Monica strives to provide individualized evaluations and treatment for children with speech, sound and language disorders, neurodivergence, and issues related to craniofacial differences, while upholding the priorities and personal needs of the families that she supports.
