Biography
Jennifer Woerner, M.D., D.M.D., is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon providing cleft lip and palate care at Shriners Children's Shreveport. A native of Davie, Florida, Dr. Woerner attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Dr. Woerner attended medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – Shreveport and remained at the facility for her residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. After completing her fellowship in cleft and craniofacial surgery, she joined the Ark-La-Tex craniofacial and cleft team, a group of oral and maxillofacial experts with appointments at LSU Health in Shreveport and the Willis-Knighton Health System. In 2015, she joined the medical team of Shriners Children's Shreveport in support of its then newly-established cleft lip and palate program.
Dr. Woerner is an assistant professor in the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery at LSU Health Shreveport, where she also serves as fellowship director of craniofacial and cleft surgery.
Dr. Woerner and her husband have three children. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoys physical fitness, volleyball and fishing.Pediatric Care
