Airport Transportation

Families traveling from out of country will arrive and depart from Shreveport Regional Airport. For these families, our team will arrange for transportation to and from the airport. For questions regarding airport transportation for families traveling within the United States, please contact your care manager.

Interpretation Services

A full-time Spanish interpreter is available to help our Spanish-speaking families understand all aspects of their child's care and help their child feel more comfortable. Interpretation for a variety of additional languages is available to families via our online interpretation service. Learn more about our interpretation services.

Overnight Accommodations

You can reassure and comfort your child by remaining close. For families staying overnight during inpatient care, sleeper chairs allow parents to stay in the room with their child. In addition, several "sleep rooms" on our second floor provide overnight accommodations for families in certain situations. Hospital Cafeteria

Our cafeteria is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. for breakfast and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch. A full service line offers a variety of choices, including grab-and-go selections. Learn more about our food options.

Internet Access

You can access the internet through the Patient and Family Access Network (PFA). To connect, select the network named "PFA" on your phone or device, open your browser, and click "yes" to accept the agreement. For assistance, just ask a staff member.

Free Parking

Parking for families is available 24 hours a day along the north side of the building next to Kings Highway, or in the parking lots across from the building on Samford Avenue.

24-Hour Security

Our security team provides on-site service 24 hours a day. If you have a safety concern or would like a security escort, please dial 110 on an in-house phone, or visit the front desk in the hospital lobby.

Recreation Areas

At Shriners Children's Shreveport, a variety of recreational areas are made available for children to enjoy. Our outdoor playground features colorful play equipment, swings and pathways designed for children of all ages and abilities. For families staying for inpatient care, multiple play rooms provide toys, arcade-style games and age-appropriate video game systems. For slightly older children, our "Timmy's Playroom," a football-themed play area provided courtesy of the Tim Tebow Foundation, provides an eye-catching and entertaining option complete with pool table, foosball, and Playstation 4 games on the Jumbotron.

Shriner Transportation

If you are scheduled for an appointment or surgery at Shriners Children's Shreveport and are unable to secure transportation to and from Shreveport, your local Shriners (members of Shriners International) may be able to help.
