Shriners Children's partners with a number of community organizations to provide opportunities for children to explore and grow their overall potential. Your nurse or care coordinator can direct you to opportunities in the community.

Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation
The Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation's (AARBF) enhances the quality of life for our burn survivors and promotes burn prevention education at Shriners Children's Southern California.
Love on 4 Paws
Love on 4 Paws volunteers bring therapy animals to our facility to share the joy, comfort and healing power of their pets' unconditional love.
Mini Therapy Horses
Mini therapy horses visit patients at Shriners Children's Southern California every other Thursday, providing comfort to patients during their stay with us.
Spirit of Children
In October, Spirit of Children hosts fun activities and brings costumes, accessories, decorations and goody bags for patients as part of an effort to make their stay with us less scary.
The Art of Elysium
The Art of Elysium program sends volunteers to our facility to bring the joy of the arts to our patients, helping them cope with the emotional challenges of illness and providing opportunities for socialization, growth and development.
The Painted Turtle
A few times a month, The Painted Turtle provides an outreach program at our facility called The Painted Turtle Outpost. The focus is to bring the fun and spirit of their camp program, which is designed to allow children to participate in authentic camp experiences by supporting their medical needs, into our playrooms.
