There are two ways to access Galveston Island:
- Interstate 45 South runs into Galveston Island and becomes Broadway Street. Take Broadway down to 9th Street and turn left. You will see the hospital straight ahead. Take a right on Market Street.
- From Interstate 10 go south on TX-124, West on TX-87, take the TX-87/Galveston - Port Bolivar Ferry, go southeast on Ferry Rd/TX-87, keep right at the fork to continue on Ferry Rd/TX-87 and finally turn right onto Market Street. 815 Market Street is on the left.
Parking
Public parking is located at 200 University Blvd, Galveston, Texas, in front of the Jennie Sealy Hospital. When arriving for a patient appointment, please bring your parking ticket to the receptionist for validation of your parking. A shuttle service is provided for patients and their families to and from Garage 8 and Shriners Children’s Texas, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Please call 409-795-1889 to request the shuttle.

If you need travel assistance, please contact your local Shriners chapter as they may have additional resources. If you do not know your local Shriners chapter, please call our transportation coordinator at 409-770-6724.
Nearby Hotels
Families who wish to stay close to the hospital during a child’s hospitalization should call our housing coordinator at 409-770-6645 and inquire about hotels on the island. Some hotels may offer special rates for our patients.
