Philadelphia Centurions, Motorcycle Club Presents: 28th Annual Christmas in July Motorcycle Toy Run

Starting Location: Cannstatter's, 9130 Academy Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19114

Ending Location: Shriners Children's Philadelphia, 3551 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19140

Police escort begins at 11 a.m., anticipating arrival at the hospital between 11:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.

The motorcyclists will gather from 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at Cannstatter's, 9130 Academy Rd., and will be leaving at 11:00 a.m. and riding to Shriners Children's Philadelphia, 3551 N. Broad Street at Venango.

This event is the highlight of the summer! It truly brings so much joy to the patients and families of Shriners Children's Philadelphia. The toys donated in the summer help fill the void until the actual holiday giving season.

The donations go to the mission of providing care to children and teens with routine and rare orthopedic conditions, including fractures, sports injuries, scoliosis and spinal cord injuries. We recently added cleft lip and cleft palate care to our list of specialties. All of this care is provided regardless of their ability to pay or insurance status.

In addition to the toy donations, monetary donations have been part of the Centurions Motor Cycle Club, Philadelphia Chapter Annual Christmas in July Toy Run.

To date, the group has collectively raised nearly $700,000, and a permanent plaque is on the hospital donor wall honoring their contribution.

It is hard to believe that the Philadelphia chapter of the Centurions, a police-sponsored motorcycle club, has roared into Shriners Children's every year since 1996. The chapter members and the community that rallies together to raise money for a good cause are like none other. They come bearing gifts and cheer, led by none other than Santa himself.

What would the last Sunday in July be without our annual Christmas in July Toy Run, hosted by the Centurions Motorcycle Club? Please join us!
