Riverfront Park Lights Up for the Holidays
The Spokane Shriners Hospital is proud to be featured in the Numerica Credit Union Light Up the Night – Holiday Tree Walk at Riverfront Park.
Numerica Lights Up the Night begins with a virtual celebration November 27, to light up the iconic 65-foot green spruce along Spokane Falls Boulevard. Spokane Mayor Woodward will lead a countdown to the illumination of 2,400 lights. In order to ensure that COVID-19 guidelines are met, you can view the celebration online. The livestream link will be posted at RiverfrontSpokane.org.
“It’s so important to have things to look forward to, bright spots during difficult times, especially this holiday season,” said Mayor Nadine Woodward. “We love this activity because families can come downtown, walk through the park in a safe, distant manner, and enjoy these spectacular holiday lights together outdoors. This is the first of several COVID-safe holiday activities we’re thrilled to work on with our community partners, and look forward to announcing more in the weeks to come.”
The display will run through January 3 and feature up to 40 adopted trees.
The Spokane Shriners Hospital tree is up and decorated with ornaments made by their very own patients! You can see the tree through the glass of the new pavilion.
Happy Holidays!
