ESPN Events Announces Shriners Children’s as Title Sponsor of 2024 Clearwater Invitational
Shriners Children’s is proud to announce it will be Title Sponsor for the 2024 Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational, presented by EvoShield. The 2024 event (Feb. 15-18) will mark the fifth year of the tournament, held at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Florida. The one-of-a-kind tournament will feature 16 teams in 40 games over four days. All 40 matchups will be available across ESPN platforms, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network and ESPN+.
To provide additional details about the new partnership, Shriners Children’s is hosting a press conference at its International Headquarters on Tuesday, September 26 at 1:30 p.m. Shriners Children’s patients (including one who plays baseball), families and Shriners leaders including Shriners Children’s CEO James E. “Ed” Stolze Jr., will also be on hand and available for interviews.
“Shriners Children’s has a positive legacy of promoting our pediatric specialty care and awareness of our incredible mission through sporting events,” said Stolze. “This tournament expands our team of supporters to provide the most amazing care anywhere. We wanted to present this announcement at our Shriners International Headquarters because so many of the children we serve are involved in sports and rely on us to assist them with modifications or devices to help them compete. This is an exciting new partnership for all of us.”
Michele Smith, former collegiate All-American, two-time medal-winning Olympian, international professional softball pitcher and current ESPN sports commentator, will be on hand to interact with media along with other leadership members of ESPN.
