Shriners Children’s Wins 15 Patient Satisfaction/Clinical Quality Awards

Once again, Shriners Children’s has been recognized as one of healthcare's standout organizations for its achievements in patient experience, employee experience, safety and quality.

Press Ganey honored Shriners Children’s with a record number of awards for 2023 – 15 in total, one more than in 2022 and more than the system has ever received. The awards recognize and honor data-driven advancements in healthcare.

“Year after year, we are recognized by Press Ganey, and I believe that consistency comes from a genuine culture of caring,” said Bill Munley, administrator for the Shriners Children's Southeast market.

Press Ganey is a healthcare consultant that works with more than 41,000 healthcare facilities. As part of its mission, Press Ganey conducts nationwide surveys of patients, physicians and other provider employees to assess their experience, satisfaction and engagement. The organization also compares the clinical quality performance of the hospitals and clinics it works with. It is these surveys and measures that the awards are based on.

Nine Shriners Children's locations won a Guardian of Excellence Award®, meaning that those providers’ scores on patient experience, physician and employee engagement, and clinical quality place them in the top 5% of providers across the country.

In addition, five Shriners Children's locations received a Pinnacle of Excellence Award®, which recognizes top-performing healthcare organizations for achieving and maintaining consistently high levels of excellence for three or more consecutive years in patient experience and employee/physician engagement; or, two or more consecutive years in clinical quality performance.
