Shriners Children’s Receives 12 Press Ganey Human Experience Awards for Patient Satisfaction and Clinical Quality
Shriners Children’s has again been recognized as one of healthcare's standout organizations for its high standards in patient experience, employee experience, safety and quality. Press Ganey honored the healthcare system with an impressive 12 Human Experience Awards for 2024, celebrating data-driven advancements in healthcare at seven locations. The awards reflect how families feel they are cared for and the quality of care they believe they receive.

I'm very proud that Shriners Children’s received 12 Press Ganey awards and to work for an organization that prioritizes and excels in the quality, safety and experience of our patients and families.”
Working with more than 41,000 healthcare facilities, Press Ganey conducts nationwide surveys of patients, physicians and other provider employees to assess their experience, satisfaction and engagement. The healthcare consultant also compares the clinical quality performance of select hospitals and clinics. These surveys and metrics serve as the basis for two levels of awards, the Pinnacle of Excellence and the Guardian of Excellence.
Five Shriners Children's locations received a Pinnacle of Excellence Award®, which recognizes top-performing healthcare organizations for achieving and maintaining consistently high levels of excellence for three or more consecutive years in patient experience and employee/physician engagement, or two or more consecutive years in clinical quality performance.
In addition, seven Shriners Children's locations won a Guardian of Excellence Award®, meaning those providers’ scores on patient experience, physician and employee engagement, or clinical quality place them in the top 5% of providers nationwide.
Notably, Shriners Hospitals for Children Canada earned three awards.
“Since 2002, we have partnered with Press Ganey to better understand how to measure and improve our patient and family experiences,” said Kathleen Nightlinger, director of healthcare quality and safety at Shriners Children’s. “These survey results are the groundwork for data-driven change, and they give each patient and family a voice in their overall experience at Shriners Children’s.”
