Hi, I'm Amanda. 15 years ago I was a Shriners kid, one of the thousands of kids Shriners Hospitals for Children treats in the vital areas of orthopedics, burn care, spinal cord injury, and cleft lip and palate. Recently I gave back through Fundraise for Love, the easy and fun way to raise money for Shriners money that will go directly to changing the lives of children around the world, bringing hope and healing regardless of a family's ability to pay.
I got started at Love to the rescue.org where I selected the local Shriners Hospital I wanted to support. Next, I decided to honor my physician at Shriners, Dr. Jones. So I chose the Love My Doc theme for my personal fundraiser. Then I added some basic information about myself and my goal. That included creating a headline for my fundraiser as well as a monetary goal. I went for a thousand dollars to inspire my friends and family to give. I customized my page by sharing old photos of myself with Dr. Jones, as well as a short video tribute. Hi, I'm Amanda. I got the word out about my fundraiser via email and social media right from my fundraising page.
