Justin Kunes, M.D., is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity care at Shriners Children's Shreveport. A native of Ohio, Dr. Kunes earned his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, followed by a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He underwent fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and in hand and upper extremity surgery at Florida Orthopedics Institute in Tampa.

Joining the medical team at Shriners Children's Shreveport in 2019, Dr. Kunes brings particular expertise and interest in congenital hand and upper extremity differences, angular deformity correction, clubfoot, and shoulder/elbow injuries in young athletes.
