Michal Szczodry, M.D., is a pediatric spine surgeon at Shriners Children's Chicago, specializing in infantile scoliosis, scoliosis and spinal deformities. Dr. Szczodry is also an assistant professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Szczodry is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Orthopaedic Research Society. He has a research interest in the etiology of idiopathic scoliosis, the socioeconomic impact of spinal deformities and perioperative exposure to radiation in spinal procedures. He was selected to serve as administrative chief resident and nominated to the American Orthopaedic Association Leadership Forum. He also continues to attend national and international conferences.
Dr. Szczodry speaks fluent Polish and English.
