Sundeep Tumber, M.D., grew up in Yuba City, a local farming community north of Sacramento. He first became interested in medicine volunteering in the pediatric emergency room at UC Davis when he was an undergraduate. After his undergraduate training, he attended medical school in Arizona and then returned to UC Davis to complete his anesthesiology residency. During his residency, he spent two months rotating at Shriners Children's Northern California and fell in love with Shriners Children's and their mission. He joined the faculty as a pediatric anesthesiologist in 2005 and was promoted to chief of the department in 2017. He is board certified in pediatric anesthesiology and has spent his career at Shriners Children's. He and his department strive to bring compassionate and advanced anesthesia care to our patients at Shriners Children's.
