Patient & Family Resources
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Your Safety Remains a Top Priority.
Shriners Children's Erie is open and caring for patients. To protect the health of our patients, families and employees, we have adopted new safety measures:
- Restricting visitors to the facility to one patient and one parent/guardian for all appointments. No additional family members or siblings are permitted at this time.
- Screening patients, guests and employees for possible cold and flu-like symptoms and potential exposure to the virus. Temperatures are taken before entering the facility. If you answer "yes" to any of the screening questions, display a temperature over 100°F or appear ill, you may be required to reschedule your appointment.
- Requiring face masks or cloth face coverings be worn in the facility. Individuals will be provided a mask/covering if they don't have one.
- Practicing social distancing by requiring everyone to maintain a distance of at least six feet from others.
To further minimize points of potential exposure, non-essential traffic into the building is not currently permitted. This includes volunteers, students, on-site events and activities, meeting space and dining room usage by patients and visitors, and tours.
If you have an upcoming appointment and have been experiencing any symptoms of illness or have had a recent exposure to the virus, please call 814-875-8700. Thank you for your continued cooperation as we work together to keep everyone safe.
