Along with serving our neighboring communities and states, Shriners Children's St. Louis also provides high-quality, specialized care to families and children outside of the United States. We have outreach clinics located in Belize, Barbados and the West Indies Islands. We also are partners with organizations such as the World Pediatric Project and Children's Medical Mission West, and bring children from Burkina Faso, Haiti, the Ivory Coast and St. Lucia to our hospital for life-changing treatment they wouldn't be able to receive at home.

Research Director Earns Orthopedic Honor for the Third Time

Shriners Children's St. Louis research director, Farshid Guilak, Ph.D., has won the Kappa Delta award for his work in cartilage regeneration. This award is known to industry insiders as the "Nobel Prize" for orthopedics. Dr. Guilak, who won this award for the first time in 1998 and the second in 2015, is now being recognized a third time for his outstanding research in pediatric orthopedics. Having this exceptional level of work being done by our research department is a testament to our team's ongoing commitment to excellence in pediatric orthopedic care.
